In Japanese, baka (馬鹿/ばか) means idiot, moron, fool or dimwit. The portmaneau of baka with the suffix -head literally means "idiothead".

It can be used playfully to describe a person being silly, or used seriously as an insult, depending on the context and tone of the delivery.
