What is Battle Of Little Big Horn?
1.
One of the most disatrous attacks made on the Sioux natives by American General George Armstrong Custer, on June. 25, 1876, Custer had made it to a Sioux encampment in the northern plains of United States, and decided to attack. Within a short period of time, Custer and his troops were annihilated by the full might of an estimated 5,000 Sioux Indians who were led by Chief Sitting Bull and Chief Crazy Horse. In the search for survivors of Custer's forces, not one of the 264 troopers under Custer's command was found alive. Only one horse, with seven arrows in his body, was found in a thicket. The horse, named Comanche, was a gelding ridden by Captain Keogh, one of Custer's officers, and was the sole survivor of the battle on the Americans side.
The Battle of Little Big Horn has many myths, and is one of the many dramatic mistakes made in wars.
