French slang word meaning a person of North African origin living in France. Comes from the word 'arabe' in French, which the syllables of are then (as typical in Verlan slang)reversed to become 'beur'.
In the film La Haine, the character Said who we are first introduced to, might be called a 'beur' in French slang.
