adjective: working class. I don't know how it became OK to equate blue collar with redneck. I was born and raised just a few miles west of Manhattan (I'm from New Jersey); I don't wear a mulletor a wife beater; I don't drive a pickup truck; and I am an unabashed and unashamed liberal. I am not a redneck; I am blue collar, a member of the working class, and damned proud of it.

redneck: ah hate niggers, jews, catholics, librals, commies, rich people, and anyone else who's not like me.

blue collar: I work with my hands to create the goods and services that people in my community need. I may be of any race, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. Without people like me, this country would cease to exist as we know it.

Blue collar does NOT simply refer to working class people. Blue collar workers are working class people whose jobs consist of MANUAL labor.

A white collarworker may also be a member of the working class. In some cases white collar workers make less money than blue collar workers.

Construction laborers are blue collar workers.

2. Working Class, which can be poor or even lower-upper class as the need for high-tech engineers rise, and is still very hazardous, strenuous, and important as any construction, factory, or free lancing labor.

3. An individual who maintains a middle-ish class job that is not a desk job, or a conventional artistic work. A redneckis not to be confused with blue collars as some red necks have no job, or simple work to survive by chopping wood, handyman service, and odds n ends jobs like ruffing and most any job where you'll get a sunburn, since originally rednecks were Irish workers, since we(yes i am one too) do not tan, only get a red neck etc, etc, yadda, yadda

Larry is a cable guy, Jeff is a comedian, both wear blue collars, thus they are Bluecollar and not Redcoats...

a blue collar guy is someone who does work on the side of his usual job for a little extra cash.
