Quite possibly the greatest piano player in the history of time, Hornsby and his band 'the Range' had several top 5 hits in the late 80's including "Mandolin Rain", "the Valley Road", and Hornsby's signature song, "the Way It Is". Hornsby made over 100 on stage appearances with the Greatful Dead. He has also played piano on several songs by different artists, including Don Henley's "End of the Innocence".
