A means to lower the input capacitance of an amplifier by having a grounded cathode (emitter, source) amplifier directly drive a grounded grid (base, gate) amplifer. Such a configuration of field-effect transistors or FETs is sometimes called a superfet. I thought the cascode configuration would reduce the input capacitance and raise the gain, but it looks like I got a cascrode.
