A Commando grandma is one that teaches her grandchildren how to help out there mom and dad by teaching them how to do easy household chores like dishes etc. Therefore she is often viewed as a commando grandma working to get things done, especially with young kids, while they learn as they work.
Colin wiped the inside of the microwave out while his sisters did the dishes together, they had a blast ...........while commando grandma teached them.
