Originating in Appleton, WI, communasty is a term used widely to describe the large population of car-less, usually homeless, coffee drinking, hand rolling cigarettes, crust punks in the area. Communasty was derived from the words "communism" and " nasty" because that's what they all are. Nasty communists.

Lacy: "Did you hear about how anti-establishment and punk rock and cool Dan and Scott are? Everything they say is super important. It's like they're preaching the truth!"
