What is Decap?

On a message board, a thread or post regarding a topic that has already been posted by someone else. The word originated on the Golden Blab message board (on underdogsports), where multiple people posted a story about a drunk driver than accidentally decapitated his friend who was sticking his head out the window. Now anytime someone posts a topic that has already been posted, it is referred to as a decap, and replies to the repeat post simply a :decap avatar that is on that particular message board.
"I think I'm going to start a thread about whether IT should allow home ownership of Golden Tee machines."
"Dude, please don't, that is a total decap."
