What is Dumb Stick?

A grass and brush cutting implement comprising a straight wooden handle about 3 to 4 feet long and a double edged serrated blade attached at one end of the handle with an asymmetrical yoke. In use, the blade is held close to and parallel with the ground and the implement is swung from side to side so that cutting occurs on each stroke.
"Cut them weeds with the dumb stick, boy!"
