Exophile

What is Exophile?

1.

A combination of the prefix "exo", derived from the word extraterrestrial, and the suffix "phile", meaning "to have an affinity for".

An exophile is someone who has an interest in extraterrestrial life forms, either in fictional material (movies, television, books, etc) or the real possibility of such beings existing somewhere in the universe.

The serious exophile may be considered a misanthrope for preferring the idea of alien companionship over his fellow man.
