What is Hoggage?

A piece of software or bloatware, often badly written or buggy, that uses unnecessarily large amounts of RAM, disk space or CPU time and has the effect of lengthening boot times and/or rendering a computer slow or useless.

The internet security software that I installed is a hoggage.
