Hoodie

What is Hoodie?

1.

sweatshirt with a hood and a very large pocket in front, capable of carrying, but not limited to, walkman and headphone, candy being smuggled into movie theatres, pencil and notebook, pet snake that your parents don't know about, and certain less-legal substances that you don't want people finding. Considered a signature by some, so not something you want anyone else in your area to have a similar one of. Worn around waist when too hot for otherwise, NEVER worn around neck, and if -for whatever reason- you're not wearing ANYTHING, they can be flung on the floor nearby wherever you are. Not generally meant for either sex, although if part of a couple, the dominant may prefer that the less-dominant wear his/her hoodie. If difficulty finding a unique hoodie, look in touristy shops next time you go on vacation.

"Yes, I KNOW I'm late, leave me alone!" she said, tightening her hoodie around her waist while frantically looking for her second boot.

Necessary covering for drug dealers, hookups, potheads, and drummers. Ones without zippers are preferred, althrough a small Baretta pistol will satisfy the conundrum of what to carry with a zippered hoodie. A hoodie must be owned and worn if you own and drive any car manufactured before the year of 1977. They must be well-worn and loved, washed with extra-strong detergant only once a year, unless extreme soiling occurs. They are the most coveted piece of clothing, admired by girlfriends and ex-girlfriends alike.

I stole three hoodies from three different drummers I've dated.

Short for hooded sweatshirt. Hoodies without zippers are generally preferred. Hoodies are really more than just a type of sweatshirt, they are practical and functional yet comfortable article of clothing. If there is no zipper, many things may be stored in the front pocket, things such as candy, your hands, a small gun, drugs, pens and pencils, bottles, etc. Another reason they are great is you can't be discriminated on for wearing one, since hoodies can be worn by any age, sex or race, therefore preventing the occasional "Do you think you are (insert race that you do not belong to) wearing that?!?!?!" or "You are such a ( insert opposite gender here)!!!" Unless of course you are wearing a FUBU hoodie if you are white or a Tommy Hilfigeror Abercrombie hoodie if you are black. In my opinion everyone should own at least two hoodies. If you do not have a hoodie, get one, if you do, then get another one.

I own 6 hoodies, An American Eagle one, a South Pole one, A Rochester Red Wings one, a Reebok one, an Old Navy one, and a JNCO one, and I always wear one of them everyday.

6.

a sweatshirt with a hood and a big 'kangaroo' pocket in front. you can just about always find one at university book shops with the college's name on the front. available at tourist shops, too. (gift shops in general) never leave the house without one, even in two-hundred degree weather. if you can't bear to wear it anymore, tie it around your waist.

You: OMG! I can't find my hoodie!

Mom: Just leave without it! You'll be late for school!

You: I'll die and never be at school again if I leave without it
