similar to the Yiddish phrase "oy vey" for "oh woe", a Jewish expression often of frustration, but also of excitement. Hoy vay has a filipino twist on it, "hoy" is the filipino way of getting someone's attention. Hoy vay was created by Lauren so she could truly express her jewpino frustration.
