What is Hushball?

a very intense sport with many variations in rule, originated in Punta Gorda FL at Charlotte High School (ap physics.) Rules include: a group of people sitting on tables throwing a duct-tape ball (the hushball) to one another in an attempt to get the other person to drop it. Once someone drops the ball they are eliminated from that round. The last person to not drop the ball wins the round. As aforementioned, the game has many variations. One variation is in the way a game player is allowed to catch and throw the ball. A very common gametype is one where each player is required to catch the hushball with one hand only and must throw it to the next person with the same hand with which he or she caught the ball. An easier gametype is one where each gameplayer may catch the hushball with two hands and throw with whatever hand he or she chooses. Hushball can also be played with rules including game-suspensions. If the hushball is thrown into a trash bin, it's an automatic one game suspension for the player at fault. If the hushball is thrown very poorly by a player, whether it be thrown inaccurately or too fast, and breaks an object, hits a window, hits a spectator, etc. the winner of that round may determine a suspension of his or her choosing according to the severity of the poor throw. The best possible throw in hushball is "the deuce."
