a single person or a group who, via internet (most commonly through youtube), through the production of entertainment, have single handedly gained celebrity status or a large following/fan base.
these range from vloggers, to musicians, to actors, to artists, to comedians, to movie editors, film students, to kids in their basement, to singers, to dancers, to puppeteers, to authors, to news broadcasters, etcetc the list goes on and on and is perpetually growing larger and larger as people pass their favorites around and new talent rises in the eyes of the viewers.
