This word may have originated from <i>jeks</i> a term drawing its roots from a scandinavian word meaning "authentic", "devoted" or in some cases "possessing above-average intelligence and wisdom". This term can also apply to someone with deeply-rooted anti-emo values and one who believes in hardcore music. Occasionally this term dabs in satanism and readily causes misconceptions.
