A person who typically works at your local grocery store and goes to work hammered. A typical joe pelto is old, drunken and drives a grand marquee. If you see a Joe Pelto you should not approach him, so to avoid being invited upstairs. Sme examples of Joe Pelto catch phrases are:

-"Gonna Visit my faackin daghter in faackin California."
-"Yeah, but if you go over 40 the cops'll never catcha!"
