What is Kuroneko?

Actually, the Director of Trigun said that its name is Kuroneko Kuukan, or "Black Space Cat". "Kuroneko-sama", or "Lord Blackcat", is a nickname people have given to it.

A black cat on the show Trigunwho appears in every episode and has no importance to the storyline whatsoever.

In episode 5, Kuroneko was found sleeping in a corner of a clearing.

Actually Kuroneko-SAMA, this literally means "Black Lord of Cats". He is really a basic comic relief, and can be seen everywhere, from a beer bottle lable to being shot from the sky.
