What is Landless?
1.
An Internet Forum (aka Message Board) maneuver designed to prevent other users from easily searching ones past posts. This maneuver consists of un-registering one's account and then re-registering it by the same name.
Note that due to variations in the mechanics of various Internet Forums, this maneuver does not work on all Internet Forums.
This maneuver is named after it's inventor, Jason Landless, a Doctor, Politician, and Educator in Australia.
GIT is a member of a forum with a history of embarrassing posts. Other users keep referring to his past statements, which he doesn't like. So GIT pulls a Landless. He un-registers his account then re-registers it by the same name. The result is that other users can no longer use the forum's search feature to easily pull up all of his old embarrassing posts.
