Lorn
- Noun
A Lorcan is a type of primordial mammal that originates from Ireland.
An average Lorcan is about 12cm tall with a top hat and has bright green skin.
The typical Lorcan enters mating age at around 13 and from then on attempts to woo members of the opposite sex by being overly-friendly with them when really only one motive subliminally prevails (see Weasel ).
However, this more often than not, fails catastrophically and the Lorcan is pushed into investigating new alternatives for finding a mate.
A coercive impulse prompts the Lorcan to seek out the hairiest of mates, ultimately having a disregard for the gender. This could be put down to one of two possible interpretations as to the sexual preferences of a Lorcan.
The first is that a Lorcan's sexual orientation is as indecisive and forever changing like the wind itself. The second however requires a certain decorum of understanding into the mind of such a primitive and estranged creature. Research into the activity of a Lorcan in the lonesome winter months suggests that the Lorcan abandons its desire and desperation to pro-create and sheds all of its skin. The Lorcan has an excellent sense of smell and it uses this to locate other mammals that may be sheltering in near-by caves and caravans. With the basic instinct of pro-creation foregone, the Lorcan searches for any gender of species in which it can lay its quivering body beside and engage in 'physical activity' to sustain bodily warmth. Typically, males are the most prominent partners in most situations as they are less inclined to abandon their own habitat to escape the Lorcan's abysmal 'sense of humour'. Thus it can be concluded that from the many years of experience (notably failure), a Lorcan will seek the sanctuary of a strong, refined male or a very rare breed of hairy female (genus: Hairyhomonous Sapienosa).
Recently, these fascinating green creatures have developed an interest in human sporting activity, particularly Rugby due to its physical nature with other males. Whilst a Lorcan enjoys having a tumble around in the mud with the opposition, it lacks any real sporting ability and is often injured.
Some preferred past-times for a Lorcan include chasing rainbows and butterfly farming.
