What is Melodic Hardcore?

It's a one version of hardcore punk but not so aggressive like old hardcore.It's something like new wave of hardcore in which is a more melody than in old school hardcore. It's often replaced with emo but the lyrics can prove that they are not.
Generally: hardcore vocals,punk guitar,bass and rhythm and much more melody.
Bands: Rise Against, Strike Anywhere , Rex Banner, Waterweed etc.
A:Did you hear this emo crap of Rise Against?
B:That isn't emo you asshole, it's melodic hardcore!!
A: WTF?
B: Same old sound of hardcore punk with much more melody, just like Rise Against and other bands like that....
no emos like Atreyu,As I lay dying and so on....
