What is Moonbear?

A tactic of conversational diversion intended to derail another person's train of thought from a larger impending matter. Derived from a "Whitest Kids U Know" sketch in which a White House Press Secretary holds a conference revealing the US Moon Base and it's bear problem in an effort to distract the press from the US invasion of Iran.
"Yeah, I was asking Jeff about why he broke up with his girlfriend, but he just pulled a moonbear on me and started talking about his car."
