The fandom term M.O.T.E.M. ("Mild On The Eyes Male") is used by sophisticated women who wish to express their admiration for a handsome man. It was created in the year 2002 by author Erestor as an alternative description for Orlando Bloom as she was tired of the fangirlish "Squeee! Wheee! OMG! !!!11!ELEVENTY!1".
