Mushroom Club Edit Meaning

Military unit (usually) that is constantly kidfoh-ed; that is, kept in the dark and fed nothing but horseshit. These are usually, but not always, "elite" units that will soon (and often) be called upon to do something damn-near impossible, of questionable legality, and with entirely too little training, preparation or equipment. Superiors will then wonder why-oh-why these boys and girls couldn't pull a miracle out of their asses.....

"So, Slick, which mushroom club are you with?"
