Used as a noun or a verb. A "newgay" is a person in a cross-over period. This person has just realized or admitted that they might have GLBT tendencies and is exploring and studying all aspects of GLBT lifestyles. The "newgay" may take this studying to the extreme (by joining every GLBT organization and/or reading every GLBT piece of news).
"This is Cindy. She's a newgay."
"Peter was newgaying it all over town."
