(n.) A little, sweet lie. Similar to a white lie, but usually given in compliment form to someone who doesn't deserve it. It is intended to brighten someone's day, make them stop bitching, or strengthen the relationship.
"Hey Dan, your essay was great. You should be a writer."
"Really?"
"No. Sorry, man. Your essay sucked. I was just telling a pinnochip."
