What is Poig?

An acronym for Person of Indeterminate Gender. A POIG is an individual whose gender is indeterminable due to a combination of factors, especially hair style/color, clothing choice, body shape, and facial ambiguity. POIG was coined in 1999 to more accurately describe a subculture of toolbags in New Paltz, NY. Some POIGs are also Street Trash.
