What is [archer]?

someone who is an expert in range attacks(preferably in piercing range attacks)like magically throwing swords for example but not necessary incapable in close combat. It is inspired by Fate/Stay Night's Shirou and Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh is an
archer because of his Gate of Babylon range attack.
