American moniker for the most beautiful car ever made, the Jaguar E-type sportscar. Jaguar never called the car an xke in any literature but some American dealerships advertised it under that name. The E-type is the successor of the C-type and D-type Jaguars and was produced from 1961 thru 1974. XK is the engine style designation.
