safist - one who discriminates based on the how 'safe' a person appears to be.
That dude is awfully close to our van and it looks like he's coming to rob us. Let's lock the doors, and quick.
The fact that he is a 20 year-old black male wearing FUBU gear is merely coincidence. It was more because he was reaching deep into his pockets for what appeared to be a 45 calibre GLOCK (or possibly a bottle of Schlitz) that inspired one particular safist to take the appropriate actions.
