What is Shovelnose?

When a dog, most likely a Staffordshire Terrier, attempt to gain more pats and attention but shoveling his nose under the attempted persons hand. Human girls are also know to attempt this procedure, with less sucess rates, most girls will just jump on ya if they want something.
"Is he trying to Shovelnose ya?"
"Yep, hes never happy."
"Just give him a pat then."
