Sjur is an exottic way of defining people who have lived all their life in a backwater farm community, and against all odds has grown intellectual sides (mostly in academical fields ((i.e math))).
Although having remarkable feats in the intellectual side, they often lack the social properties. And thus this can be used as both an insult or a compliment.
