A recent nickname (first heard in 2003) for northern New Jersey, generally used by residents of South Jersey. Refers to the popular HBOseries The Sopranos which takes place in North Jersey.

I'm going to drive up the Turnpike to Sopranoland tonight to watch the Devils game.
