What is Spreckels?

A historic town surrounded by the lettuce fields of Salinas. Known for it's 4th of July celebrations, 0 crime rate, and annual garage sale. Considering Salinas's large population of Mexicans, it is under question why there isn't a single one in Spreckels.
"Let's get away from the chance of getting shot and go to Spreckels."
