What is Stela?

A ceramic panel, made to cover the tomb of a person who died in some ancient civilizations, or just a wall panel. Two of these civilizations were the Mayans and the Ancient Egyptians.
In 1970, the stela of Lord Smoking Shell was found in Belize, on the archaeological site of the Lamanai mayan ruins. He was the Lord of the Eat, of the province "LAMA'AN'AIN"
