What is The Talk?

A conversation most American parents try to have with their teens, telling them all about sex even though they've already known it all for a couple of years by that time. Therefore it only serves to embarass the teen.
I'm not having the talk with my kids, I want them to just learn it all on the internet and from the kids at school like I did, and like everyone should.

1. (n) A conversation, normally extremely awkward and painful, between a parent and their offspring about sex. It tends to not really teach the kid anything other than DON'T talk to your parents about sex.
2. (n) a talk in which two people, generally of different sexes, discuss what they are in relation to each other, what they want from each other, and what they are going to do about it. Also awkward, embarrassing, and painful, but for different reasons.
1. My dad and I had The Talk last night. He figured it was about time, since I just started dating Sarah.
2. Emerson totally wants Bianca. It's rather sad. They should have The Talk so that he can move on.
