What is The Van Ryswyk Theory?

1.

The theory that, despite blatant evidence to suggest otherwise, the perpetrator of any manner of foul or embarrassing deed may remain idyllically blameless; there is an excuse for everything.

If one man were to say to the other, "Hey dude, I slept with another man, does this make me gay?" The other would reply, "No. You're a perfectly straight man who happened to make a big mistake and sleep with another man."
