Varignacity

What is Varignacity?

1.

The ability to bore oneself when describing something. It is common for those displaying varignacity to trail off mid-flow, realising that what they have not only lost the attention of the listener but have also lost the will to continue. Named after Pierre Varignon, who featured as the subject of the first such exchange which was so dull that the person delivering the message slumped.

"I had this friend at school, well he wasn't so much of a friend, but I was in the same class... anyway his mum used to... er... sorry, a bit of varignacity crept in there..."

See boring, dull, tedious
