Not a big mistake, but nonetheless a small sin. You can be forgiven for it most of the time.
Dude 1: "Hey, Dad, why did you scratch my door when you got out of your car? I just painted her yesterday."
Dad: "Son, STFU. That was a venial sin."
Dude 1: "Dad, stop going SAT on me."
