An egotistical politician in North Carolina with a "track record" of running for office unsuccessfully. Vernon executes a race each election cycle and always invokes neither class nor grace. He rarely, if ever, wins but consistently maintains an attitude of supremacy. He is a favorite of the liberal media because he makes the Republican party look like a joke, frequently disgracing his family and Party. Vernon is nationally famous for casting all care for truth and decency out the window, never caring the price paid by others for his antics.
