What is Ya Bird?

Originating from an advertisement for an “urban” (black) clothing store, this play on the question “ya heard?” has quickly become a phenomenon. The deliver of this immortal line is asking the receiver if he understands the deliverer’s preceding remarks. It is understood to be an inquiry, but due to the sheer force of the query , an exclamation point is often substituted for the grammatically “correct” question mark.
