What is Yanktified?

The process, usually applied to one of southern upbringing, of being assimilated into the northern (or yankee) way of life. This may include words used inconversation, accents, driving styles and choices in beer. This process normally takes a certain amount of time and is not completed overnight, but is highly noticable when the person returns to their point of origin for a visit.
After moving from Austin to Chicago, I was clear that Becky had become yanktified by how she sped through yellow lights and constantly pressed the car horn.
