Taken from the /usr directory, "Yoozer" is a nickname based on the phonetic pronunciation of the word "user". While this word usually is linked (thanks to the infamous Jargon File) with a simple idiot newbie, the word "Yoozer" gives a twist to the whole - adding instant coolness and spinoffs - like yoogle, yoozual, and yooz.
