What is Zarqawi?

Self-proclaimed leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, or, Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, and beheaded a telecommunications worker by the name of Nick Evan Berg, setting the nation aflame with patriotism. He also masterminded numerous acts of brutal violence and murder on the people of a plethora of cities/towns, along with many other deplorable acts with his handiwork made quite apparent.
Zarqawi was apparently as valuable as bin Laden as the amount that was paid was the same to locate this fiend.
That is, of course, before he was killed in a recent airstrike.
