What is Threshold Amnesia?

upon reaching some sort of threshold, whether a doorway, the index of a book, google, or the kitchen, usually after smoking a big fat stogey, that you stop and say to yourself, "what the fuck am I doing here?"
I took a big bong hit with Bob the line-cook out the back by the delivery entrance then went back into the kitchen opened the big door to the walk-in freezer and said to myself, "what the fuck did I come here for?" That's threshold amnesia.
